By the time you read this, I'll be leading discussions with a group of about 20 carpet cleaning and restoration business owners and managers some tips on how to get more customers for their companies. This Totally Booked University session highlights carpet cleaning marketing, disaster restoration marketing and water damage marketing tips and procedures, including social media marketing and Internet marketing.

Social Media/Internet workshop at Planning to Win by Interlink Supply

On Wednesday morning I am privileged to present a social media marketing program and an Internet and website marketing program at the Planning to Win event, hosted by Interlink Supply, one of our suppliers of carpet cleaning and disaster restoration products.

I'm sitting at a table with John Otero, national TES sales manager; you know, that direct heat drying tool many of you might use.

This event is in Las Vegas, with more than 70 fantastic, great looking restoration professionals who I hope will be very kind and laugh at all the right places when I tell bad jokes.

Speaking of jokes, what do you get when you cross a donkey with a... oh never mind.

The new ITA

Hot off the presses is the news that seven trade associations for the carpet cleaning and disaster restoration industries have collaborated and formed an international trade association called the "Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Association".

The groups doing this are: SCRT, MCRA, MSPCA, PACR, CRA, NYRCI and NEIRC.

It will be interesting to see what develops, how this will bring the industry closer together and help companies succeed.
